Charlie Pavelec, P.E., DBIA

Senior Vice President, National Purchasing

Value Delivered

Having gained a virtually unsurpassed level of material knowledge in the construction industry, Charlie not only leads the purchasing for the EMCOR Construction Services (ECS) division of EMCOR Group, but across the organization’s entire national procurement network.

Since procurement can influence overall safety through purchasing decisions, Charlie and his staff are careful to evaluate and maintain frequent contact with material suppliers and vendors. This helps to ensure ECS companies are receiving high-quality, competitively-priced materials and equipment for projects.

Charlie has also led an effort to help increase business opportunities at ECS companies for certified minority businesses. He has developed a comprehensive program aimed at identifying qualified XBE candidates and continually evaluates the quality and benefit each of our vendors provides, creating a best-value, approved vendor listing.
