As President and Chief Executive Officer of EMCOR’s Mechanical Construction and Services (ECS) division, Joe manages the operations of all ECS mechanical subsidiaries across the United States.

Expertise

For over 45 years, Joe has been immersed in every aspect of the mechanical contracting business. His direct experience includes an extensive list of complex buildings and industrial sites owned by some of the most recognizable clients in the U.S.

Joe is from a family with over 100 years of industry experience. He entered the trades as a Pipefitter, and has since held an array of positions, including President of his own business, Burns Mechanical in Philadelphia. Burns Mechanical was acquired by Pennsylvania Power and Light (NYSE: PPL) in 1998.

In 2001, Joe became Executive Vice President of Operations for PPL’s acquired group of contractors. He joined EMCOR in 2013 as Executive Vice President of Mechanical Construction Operations, contributing a unique mix of both private and public experience.

Joe has an Associate of Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.

The Personal Side

Joe considers his family the joy of his life. He and his wife, two sons, daughters-in-law, and six grandchildren enjoy an active lifestyle in the Mountain West region. In his downtime, Joe enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, and fly fishing along the Western Rivers.
